Design with an ecological message. Kor Water booth in Chicago
Credits
If your usual work environment includes trade shows and events, you will have noticed that more and more companies are concerned about reducing their environmental footprint. You’ll see it applied to their brand values, to their products and also in their booths. In fact, with a booth, you can also communicate through design with an ecological message. Let’s see how.
‘The proof is the booth’. Communicate with your design
The Californian company Kor Water offers sustainable bottles for water consumption and allocates a percentage of its sales to protect this precious commodity. With their booth for The Inspired Home Show in Chicago they wanted to communicate two very different but compatible things:
- Their Californian origin, through a warm and inviting aesthetic.
- A clear message of footprint reduction in line with their brand values.
The result is a clear example of what cardboard design guarantees. An organic and natural material, ideal for creating cozy spaces with an eye-catching appearance. As they say, ‘the proof is the booth’.
Use natural materials
The versatility of cardboard allows you to combine a variety of elements to create original spaces. Kor Water’s was structured around four elements inspired by previous creations and customized for the occasion.
- Die-cut screen with waves, palm trees and a printed Los Angeles skyline.
- Product display counters in the shape of the drop inspired by the brand’s logo.
- Storage area integrated inside the large central counter.
- A large corporeal sign to welcome the visitor.
Dare to set up your own booth
Setting up your own stand is possible. However, we recommend you to decide it at the beginning of the project. It is necessary to take into account the specialization of the people who will be in charge of the assembly to adapt the design to the circumstances.
In the case of Kor Water, they assembled it themselves, taking on the challenge and completing it successfully. In these cases, we provide the client with even more intuitive design solutions for the assembly and accompany them with a very detailed manual.
Listen to your client
Don’t assume that a booth has been successful until your client confirms it. In the case of Kor Water, they seem to be very satisfied, seeing how they have been communicating the project on social media:
‘With the help of the amazing team at @cartonlab, we created a stunning stand in line with our core brand values to make a sustainability statement.
Made from 100% recyclable cardboard, this creation helps promote sustainability and ingenuity, showing us all that beautiful things can be made from simple materials like cardboard.
Many thanks to @cartonlab for making our vision a reality’.
