Origami Cranes for Freedom of Speech

Let's talk!

Credits

A flock of origami cranes flew to the Avuelapluma Cultural Association awards. Avuelapluma Cultural Association delivered last April 28th the IX Awards in defense of freedom of expression. This year, they recognized the work of professionals who have excelled at the cultural and journalistic field. For the event, we were asked to create ornaments and decorations inspired by origami, and we came up with these cardboard origami cranes. We produced the cranes using white cardboard with their logo printed.

Cranes were made out of microchannel cardboard, which is formed by three layers of paper. The core layer is corrugated and forms a sandwich with the other two. It’s worth to say, that it is a recyclable material, mainly created from used boxes and wood chips. When our products have a complex assembly process, we offer our customers a manual guide for them to set up easily our designs. In this particular case, we provided the Avuelapluma Association a booklet with detailed instructions and a video in which the setup of one of the cranes was filmed.
